Let's set the record straight! I am a Lakers fan.
No! That's inaccurate! I am a true Lakers follower!!! Lakers for life! And with that said, still I am not blind to see all the mistakes, weaknesses, and mental lapses of the defending champions this 2010-11 regular season.
Let's review each games of the Champs this season by.
Losses: 11
1. Denver by 6 points
2. Suns by 5 points
3. Jazz by 6 points
4. Pacers by 3 points
5. Grizzlies by 2, 19 points respectively
6. Rockets by 10 points
7. Bulls by 4 points
8. Bucks by 19 points
9. Heat by 16 points
10. Spurs by 15 points
Wins: 26
1. Rockets by 2 points
2. Suns by 8, 4 points respectively
3. Warriors by 24, 28 points respectively
4. Grizzlies by 19 points
5. Kings by 12, 33 points respectively
6. Raptors by 5, 10 points respectively
7. Blazers by 25 points
8. Timberwolves by 5, 17 points respectively

17. Hornets by 15, 4 points respectively
Wins/Losses Highlights:
*Only 4/26 wins are against above 0.5 PCT teams.
*Only 7/26 wins are against "current" playoff contender teams.
*The overall average of the teams that they defeated is 0.381 PCT.
*5/11 losses are against above 0.5 PCT teams.
This means that the Lakers' current percentage of winning against above 0.5 PCT teams is 44.44%. This is a
big "slap in the face" for the defending champions!!!
*5/11 losse are against "current" playoff contender teams.
*The overall average of the teams that defeated the champs is 0.550 PCT!!!
Based on these performances by the Lakers, we can safely conclude that they are currently playing without life, without heart, and certainly without motivation... How I wish to see the same Lakers in 2009, hungry for rings!!!
I still see the defending champions to step-up during the playoffs where the real basketball happens but with their current lifeless plays, I think there are more adjustments and improvements to do in order for them to return to their playoff shape.
*Gasol should stop playing like a baby! Start playing tough!!! Don't be pushed around and be effective down low. Instead crying for having few touches, demand the ball during plays and learn to create your own effective ways to score. Be consistent!
*Kobe is still Kobe. This is always my answer to comments saying Kobe is taking more shots lately. Kobe always take more shots. That is Kobe and nothing is new here! And if you're blaming him for losses, I think you just don't get it. Don't forget that they win because he takes many shots.
*Odom is the most consistent... Consistent for being not consistent!!! Focus in your game for once and stop thinking about your Kardashian!
*The killer B's (Brown, Blake, Barnes, Bynum) should work more aggressively and stay healthy and hungry for rings! I think Brown and Blake are playing just fine. Unfortunately, Barnes will be undergoing an MRI due to sprained right knee. Bynum should start playing like Shaq during the 3peat of Kobe-Shaq era.
*Lastly, Phil should beat the crap out of these lifeless Lakers psychologically.
P.S.
I would like to see the Lakers-Heat clash in the finals, but I know they won't survive the "Real Big Three" of the East... No! Not Garnet, Pierce & Allen! They are the Celtics, Magic, and Bulls!
